Dear OLL Parishioners:
It was a joy to be with you this past week at the Advent Mission, to share faith in Christ with you. I left built up by your faith, especially those who came up and shared their stories with me. My favorite part! I pray this Advent you stop, look and listen often to the voice of Jesus inviting you to give him permission to save you – from fear, guilt, sin, addiction, worry. Whatever it is that blocks you from letting go and letting God be God of your life. So you can taste the joy of the birth of the SAVIOR up close and personal!
I wanted to also say that, after some reflection, I asked Fr Doug to take down the recordings from social media. As when I have in the past shared very personal parts of my life story, and my family, I have not had it recorded to be left online, I had not thought much about this. Until after – when I realized how much my very candid talks, where I share the faith from my life, are meant only for those who come (or livestream); and not for general access. I am grateful Fr Doug patiently respected my change of mind. But my hope is that it will give us an opportunity to meet again in the future, and share faith.
God bless you and your loved ones abundantly this holy season!
Tom Neal

Disiples of the Advent of God
November 28th, 29th, & 30th | 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM in the Church
Dr. Tom Neal will offer three nights of reflection to our parish community, opening the treasures of Advent that illumine an often dark world. He will reflect on the greatness of our human and Christian dignity, the plight of our fallen world, and the great remedy God has given us in the Christ Child. Using stories, Dr. Tom makes the Word fresh, and will help paint your imaginations with the bright, joyful and beautiful colors of the Kingdom! Come and see...
